Finding Microsoft Outlook 2007 e-mails received within a certain time frame

It may be that you want to find all e-mails received within a particular time frame, say any e-mail message that was received over two years ago.

If you are using Outlook 2007:

Click Tools – Instant Search – Advanced Find or click Ctrl + Shift + F. The Advanced Find dialog box will be displayed.

Click on the Advanced tab, then from the Field dropdown, click Date/Time field, then select Received.

From the Condition dropdown, select your required criteria – to select all e-mails that are more than 2 years old, I would select on or before then type in the date two years ago in the Value box. Click OK. A list of e-mails satisfying the condition will be displayed.

About jdonbavand

I am a trainer of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Crystal Reports. I have called my blog "If Only I'd Known That...." because I hear it so many times in training sessions. In fact, if only I had a £100 (or 150 Aussie dollars)for every time someone says "If only I'd known that." ....
