Microsoft Project – highlighting late-running tasks in Network Diagram view

Some people like to use Network Diagram as it is more visual than the Gantt Chart.

To show late-running tasks on the Network Diagram, there isn’t an easy way of formatting the shapes. However, provided you are working with Project 2010 or Project 2013, you can highlight late-running tasks.

Whilst in Network Diagram view, click the View tab, then in the Data group, click the Highlight dropdown and select Late Tasks. Your late-running tasks will be highlighted in yellow.

About jdonbavand

I am a trainer of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Crystal Reports. I have called my blog "If Only I'd Known That...." because I hear it so many times in training sessions. In fact, if only I had a £100 (or 150 Aussie dollars)for every time someone says "If only I'd known that." ....
