Microsoft Excel – entering weekdays into a worksheet

In Microsoft Excel, if you type in Monday, you can then use the Autofill handle to enter the rest of the days of the week. If you carry on dragging down, it will start again at Monday.

However, what if you only want the weekdays? In this case, click on the Autofill options button that appears at the bottom of the data series and select Fill Weekdays.

Similarly, if you were entering dates, you may only want weekdays.

Again, using the Autofill options button at the bottom of the entered series, select Fill Weekdays.

About jdonbavand

I am a trainer of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Crystal Reports. I have called my blog "If Only I'd Known That...." because I hear it so many times in training sessions. In fact, if only I had a £100 (or 150 Aussie dollars)for every time someone says "If only I'd known that." ....
