Microsoft Word – leaving space just after last bullet point in list

Sometimes you may not want to have line spacing after each bullet point in a list but may want a space after the last bullet point before the next paragraph. For example:

  • Car
  • Boat
  • Bus
  • Plane

The above are all modes of transport.

To do that, click on the Home tab, click on the Paragraph dialog box launcher. The Paragraph dialog box will be displayed.

In the Spacing section, in the After box, select what spacing you want to be left between the final bullet point and the next paragraph. Click the Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style check box to put a tick in it. Click OK. This will achieve the desired effect.
