Microsoft Excel – finding all birthdays within a particular month

If you have a column containing dates of births, it is easy to find all birthdays falling within a particular month by filtering the data.

To do so, either format the dataset as a table – Home tab, Styles group, Format as Table, which means filter buttons will automatically appear or from within the dataset, click the Data tab, then in the Sort & Filter group, click Filter. Click on the Filter dropdown in the Date of Birth column, select Date Filters – All Dates in the Period, and then your required month.

The relevant birthdays will then be shown.
